On Board Training provides essential training, advice and support to Boards and Board Members of public bodies and other organisations sponsored or funded by public bodies.

On Board
Duration: 2 x 4 hours

About: On Board is an online course delivered over two half day sessions providing essential training for all Board Members of public bodies through the use of case studies, real world examples and group discussion
The Effective Audit and Risk Committee
Duration: 4 hours
Cost: £350 + VAT
About: In this half day workshop, delegates will gain a detailed understanding of the roles and responsibilities of the Audit and Risk Committee and practical guidance on the critical success factors that will determine whether or not an Audit and Risk Committee is successful.
Effective Board Oversight of Risk
Duration: 4 hours
Cost: £350 + VAT
About: Delegates will learn what ‘good’ risk management looks like and receive practical guidance on how to exercise their oversight role effectively through this half day interactive session.
Finance for Board Members
Duration: 4 hours
Cost: £350 + VAT
About: This half day course will inform Board Members of the financial roles and responsibilites they are expected to discharge in ensuring the organisation is financially sound
Chairing Effective Meetings
Duration: 4 hours
Cost: £350 + VAT
About: In this short interactive session, we examine the critical factors that will determine whether or not a meeting will be successful, focusing on the role of the Chair and looking at best practice
Effective Scrutiny and Challenge
Duration: 4 hours
Cost: £350 + VAT
About: In this half day workshop, attendees will learn about the key pre-requisites to enable effective scrutiny and challenge to take place, the characteristics of effective scrutiny and how to scrutinise in practice
